History
Flip formed in December 2006 initially as a duo until the violin was added about a year later. All that was then needed was an incredible violinist to play it - luckily Heath appeared and fitted the bill perfectly!
They quickly gained a reputation for colossal repertoire, zany humour, concise musical arrangement & a fearless approach to requests. Individually Andy, Alan & Heath have worked with literally scores of bands in varying styles & genres (including rock, folk, soul, punk, blues, classical, reggae, pop & jazz) and have all worked as session musicians at recording studios for numerous & equally varied artistes (including Indie legends Cornershop & folk legend Michael Chapman), notching up years of experience.
Andy & Alan had previously worked together within "Hooper" a larger electric function band (specialists in large electric functions!) and notably Chubby Brown's backing band for many years.
Heath & Alan had worked together in a number of different groups including Irish band "Delaney's Donkey" who supported Bob Geldof.
From the outset Flip's goal has been to provide the maximum entertainment, fun & spontaneity without compromising musical integrity.
